Nawaz Sharif sings with Sindhies in LG Ordinance matter

Lahore: President Pakistan Muslim League (N) Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that since the passing of Sindh Peoples Local Government Ordinance and Act, the people of Sindh have strongly opposed it and have completely rejected it, as the same amounts to the enforcing of dual administrative system and is aimed at creating a state within a state in the province.

Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that this so-called local government law is an attempt to create a division and conflict among the people of Sindh. He said that the PPP-MQM government, in the name of reconciliation, has destroyed the peace, governance, social and economic structure of Sindh. He said, by this new local government system, excessive and limitless powers have been surrendered to the mayors of few cities, which is likely to further deteriorate the law and order situation, particularly in Karachi, where thousands of innocent people have been lost in the last four years.

He said that the PML (N) has been and will continue to support the peaceful political struggle of the writers, intellectuals, artists, civil society, journalists and the people of Sindh, against the SPLGA, 2012, along with almost all the political parties, and PML (N) Sindh chapter is an active component of the Sindh Bachayo Committee (SBC).
Muhammad Nawaz Sharif also condemned the insulting behavior of the PPP ministers with the female members of the PML-F, during the last session of Sindh Assembly. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif announced his support for the peaceful Black Day and strike call of the Sindh Bachayo Committee to be observed on 30th November, 2012.
