Four Drs suspended in mice biting case

Lahore: A spokesman of Punjab Health Department has said that Health Department on the recommendations of inquiry committee constituted for investigations in mouse biting case in Holy Family Hospital Rawalpindi, has suspended four senior doctors, two head nurses, one nurse and one midwife. Medical Superintendent Holy Family Hospital Dr. Fayyaz has been transferred back to the department immediately. Dr. Arshad Ali Sabir has been appointed as acting Medical Superintendent.

Those who have been suspended included Additional MS Dr. Shahida Shah, DMs Dr. Waseem Qadir, Dr. Tariq Sohail and Dr. Muhammad Akram, head nurses Miss. Jan Muhammad, Shazia Nasreen, nurse Mst. Penzy and midwife, Mst. Joice. Action will be taken against the suspended doctors and other staff under PEEDA Act, the spokesman concluded.
