JI wants unity of the religious voters for foiling the US designs

Lahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Paksitan, Syed Munawar Hasan, has said that the JI was striving for the unity of the religious parties so that these could face the US slaves and the secular lobby working for the supremacy of the western ideas in the country.

Addressing the participants of the leadership course at Mansoora meant for the district level JI leaders, he said that the . Those who had worked for the benefit of the secular lobby should be taken to task, he added.

Syed Munawar Hasan said that a vast majority of the people in the country was religious and only a few people were secular. But, unfortunately, many religious people did not care to cast their vote which directly benefited the secular elements.

He said all those who were keen to establish the supremacy of Islam in the country, should know that if had there been any other constitutional way for securing power and blocking the way of the secular forces, the JI would not have lagged behind.

He said the JI had gained popularity as was manifest from Bilawal and President Zardari’s talk of a deal with the JI. He said, the PML(N) leader Mian Nawaz Sharif had even expressed his desire for an electoral alliance with the JI and the PTI chief Imran Khan had established contact with the JI for the purpose.

He said the doors of the JI were open and it was in contact with all others.

JI deputy chef, Sirajul Haq and JI Punjab chief, Dr Syed Waseem Akhtar also spoke on the occasion.
