Ban imposed on pillion riding in Punjab

Lahore: Home Department, Government of the Punjab, has directed all the District Coordination Officers of Punjab to impose ban on pillion riding on motorcycles / scooters for a period of two days i.e. 9th and 10th Muhrram-ul-Harram within the limits of their respective districts.

This order shall not apply to the armed forces, police personnel in uniform and on duty. Exemption has also been given for females, children under the age of twelve years and press personnel in possession of valid photo identity besides CNIC.
