Ambassador of Japan Hiroshi called on the Chief Minister Punjab

Lahore: Ambassador of Japan Mr. Hiroshi called on the Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif at Model Town today. Wife of the Ambassador also accompanied him. Matters of mutual interest and bilateral relations were discussed during the meeting. Talking to Japanese Ambassador, Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan gives special importance to its relations with Japan. He said that Japan has made tremendous progress in achieving modern technology. The Chief Minister said that the progress of Japan has become role model for the entire world. He said that the goal of development and prosperity can be achieved by adopting modern education and technology. Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that Punjab government has taken concrete measures for the betterment of education and social sectors. He said that education is the only way through which extremism can be defeated. Referring to the steps taken by the Punjab government for the improvement of transport sector, the Chief Minister said that Metro Bus Project in Lahore is a masterpiece of latest technology. He said that this project will bring revolutionary changes in transport sector. Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that Punjab has become an attractive province for foreign investors. He said that conducive atmosphere is utmost essential for foreign investment and continuing industrial activities. He said that every patriotic Pakistani is worried about the lawlessness in Karachi. He said that it is the responsibility of political parties to control the situation in Karachi. The Chief Minister said that, no doubt, Karachi is hub of economic activities of Pakistan and law and order situation in Karachi affects the entire country.

Talking on the occasion, Japanese Ambassador Hiroshi said that Japan is extending cooperation to Punjab government in various sectors including education and is willing to further enhance trade and investment with Pakistan. While paying rich tributes to Chief Minister Punjab for bringing prominent changes in social sector, the Ambassador said that besides education, Shahbaz Sharif is rendering invaluable services for introducing reforms in social sector.
