Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has said that the Turk investment has been brought in Pakistan through the efforts of Punjab government and if President Zardari goes abroad for seeking cooperation, the hosts will save their pockets. The Chief Minister said had the looters sitting in Islamabad not looted the resources, five lakh educated youth instead of 50 thousand would have been given internship. He asked the people to cooperate in making Pakistan the country of Quaid and Iqbal by giving vote to Nawaz Sharif in the coming elections. He promised that if Allah Almighty provided the opportunity, the country would be transformed in accordance with the ideals of Quaid and Iqbal under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif.
The Chief Minister was addressing ceremony of giving away internship letters to 4,650 graduate and post graduate male and female youth of Rawalpindi division under Punjab Youth Internship Programme at Barani Agri University Rawalpindi today. Senator Pervaiz Rashid, Zafar Ali Shah, Begum Najma Hameed, Members National and Provincial Assemblies, office-bearers of PML-N, educationists, teachers and a large number of male and female students were also present on the occasion.
Shahbaz Sharif said that elections are near and the time is not far off when the people will get rid of Zar Baba and Forty Thieves sitting in Islamabad. He disclosed that distribution of laptops among 125,000 talented male and female students on merit basis will be started in the province after 10th Muharram and the share of male and female students of Rawalpindi division will be ten to fifteen thousand in this phase. He said that this time instead of DELL, HP laptops of best quality with original software will be given. He said that Punjab government has executed development projects for laying network of flyovers, roads, setting up of medical colleges, universities for women, hospitals by investing billions of rupees in the province. He said that transport system consisting of air-conditioned buses will soon be launched in the province. The Chief Minister said that Punjab government helped the flood affectees and defeated the dengue in the province. He said that people can hold him accountable if the embezzlement of even a single penny is proved in the development projects of Punjab government. He said that those people who deposited looted public money in Swiss banks, committed corruption in rental power projects and looted the Hujajs and the time will soon come after elections when looted money will be recovered from Zar Baba and his cronies and spent on the welfare of the people. The Chief Minister said that development projects worth billions of rupees including construction of Institute of Cardiology, Institute of Urology, Chandni Chowk flyover, Sixth Road Chowk flyover, Pir Wadhai Morr flyover, buildings of schools and colleges and roads have been executed. The Chief Minister distributed internship certificates among educated youth.
