Punjab bureaucracy offered their condolences to Saeed Iqbal Wahla’s family

Lahore: The officers of Government of the Punjab, led by the Chief Secretary Punjab Nasir Mahmood Khosa met today to condole the death of their dear colleague, Saeed Iqbal Wahla, an officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service, who passed away on 8th November 2012. The officers expressed their profound grief on the untimely demise of Saeed Iqbal Wahla and offered “due” for the departed soul. They offered their condolences to the family. Late Saeed Iqbal Wahla leaves behind a wife and three children, two sons and a daughter.

Saeed Iqbal Wahla belonged to the 1988 batch. He held various positions during his career. He served as Assistant Commissioner (UT) Faisalabad, Assistant Commissioner, Gujrat, Kharian, Rawalpindi, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Rawalpindi, Additional Secretary Finance Department, LG & CD Department, Additional Director Directorate of Staff Development, District Coordination Officer Pakpattan and Faisalabad, Managing Director Punjab Tourism Development Corporation, Commissioner Gujranwala Division and lastly was performing his duties as the Secretary Environment Protection Department, government of the Punjab. He was an upright and diligent officer of outstanding merit who worked with honesty and dedication.

As Secretary Environment late Saeed Iqbal Wahla made extraordinary efforts. It would be pertinent to mention his efforts in the eradication of dengue, the rehabilitation of the Katas Raj Temple in Chakwal, the establishment of the Environment Tribunal and framing and notification of rules concerning BTS towers. His developmental genius was most apparent in his field postings as DCO Pakpattan, Faisalabad and as Commissioner Gujranwala, where he went beyond the call of duty to ensure the provision of services and development. The meeting prayed that may Allah rest his soul in peace and given strength to the bereaved family to bear this loss.
