Younas Habib gave 16 Crore to PPP: PML-N communique

Lahore: According to the communiqué of PML-N, immediately after the formation of Nawaz Sharif government in 1990, had been removed from the service of Habib Bank Limited. Similarly, at the time of establishment of Mehran Bank, Nawaz Sharif government had not allowed Younus Habib’s appointment as Chief Executive Officer of Mehran Bank. The communiqué has added that according to an admission statement, Younus Habib had given Rs.5 crore to PPP for election campaign in September 1993 while he had given Rs.3 crore to PPP for making Farooq Leghari as president in November 1993. Younus Habib had also given Rs.11 crore to PPP for toppling Pir Sabir Shah’s government in NWFP (now Khyber Pakhtoon Khawah Province) in January 1994, added the communiqué. The communiqué had made it clear that the admission statement of Younus Habib given to FIA is available in the newspapers of April 05, 1994.
