Peoples Party will face its political end in the elections:CM Punjab

Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has said that Peoples Party will face its political end in the forthcoming general elections as its inefficient government has totally disappointed the masses during last four and a half years. He said that the inefficient and corrupt rulers of Peoples Party has brought the country to the verge of disaster and bankrupted national institutions through their record corruption.

He was talking to the media at the residence of Provincial Parliamentary Secretary on Information Dr. Farrukh Javed in Arifwala today. The Chief Minister said that the days of inefficient rulers who have pushed the nation into darkness are numbered and the masses will elect such an honest and sincere leadership in general elections as could solve their problems. When asked about whether the statement of Army Chief General Ishfaq Pervaiz Kiyani poses any threat to democratic system, Shahbaz Sharif said that nothing has been said which could even give the impression that the statement was unconstitutional. Regarding a question about the decision of the Supreme Court, the Chief Minister said that it is not proper to comment on the decision of the judiciary without proof. He said that the Supreme Court has not referred to any politician but had only observed that politicians have not upheld their oath. He said that all institutions are respectable and their role and limits have been determined by the constitution.

The Chief Minister expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the death of the father of Dr. Farrukh Javaid and prayed for the departed soul as well as courage and fortitude to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude.
