Leaders with vindictive attitude weakened country:Ch Zhaeer

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) Punjab General Secretary Ch Zaheeruddin Khan has said that the leaders with vindictive attitude have weakened the country and the Muslim League.

Addressing a seminar on Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s birth anniversary in Muslim League House here today, Ch Zaheeruddin said that we are fortunate to have a personality like Allama Iqbal, an ardent lover of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him), as our hero but not to implement his thinking is misfortune. Ch Zaheeruddin Khan said that to forgive is the “Sunnah” of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) and a powerful human sentiment and by adopting this human quality of forgiveness we can mould ourselves in one Ummah. He said those carrying sentiments of vengeance are isolated in the end. He said that Ch Shujat Hussain and Ch Parvez Elahi possess all those qualities of leadership which Allama Muhammad Iqbal has mentioned in his poetry in the context of “Meer-e-Karwan” and have sensitive hearts and sensible minds.

Speaking on the occasion, PML Additional General Secretary Punjab Nasir Mahmud Gill said that shortly a province-wide conference of the youth will be organized in which young college students will participate and in it PML senior leader Moonis Elahi will announce PML’s Youth Policy. The seminar was also addressed by PML senior leader Mian Muhammad Munir, Mian Abdul Sattar advocate and Sohail Cheema.
