Dr. A.Q. Khan calls for Grand Alliance to save country

Lahore: : Eminent nuclear scientist, Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan, has stressed upon the patriotic political parties to unite at one platform and set up a Grand Alliance to save the country from complete destruction before it was too late.

He was addressing a joint press conference with the Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hasan, after a meeting with him at Mansoora. The father of the country’s atomic bomb said that the masses were already deprived of Roti, Kapra and Makan, and if the things remained unchanged, the masses wont even get grass to eat.
He said there was no dearth of resources in the country which had successfully built nuclear bomb and missiles making the country’s defense impregnable. He said if the country got an honest leadership, it could achieve marvelous results.

Dr A.Q. Khan said, unfortunately, the country’s present rulers took guidance from Washington and not the Holy Kaaba. The country was in the grip of Qabza group. Killing of citizens was going on in Karachi and the situation in Balochistan was getting worse with every passing day.He said the government was blaming Taliban for the situation but in fact, the actual responsibility rested on the people who were in power.He said it was high time that honest and experienced people came forward to lead the nation and the media also guided the people in the right direction. He said he would also meet PML(N) leader Mian Nawaz Sharif and PTI chief, Imran Khan, for this purpose.
Dr Khan said that the re-election of US President Obama wont bring any change in the US policy for Pakistan.He added that the JI comprised of patriotic people whose integrity remained unchallenged.

Dr Khan said that the people regular in prayers and fasting were termed as orthodox. If it be so, he w too was an orthodox.He said the masses were facing countless problems and they should be wise to elect good people in the next elections.

Speaking on the occasion, Syed Munawar Hasan said that Dr. A.Q. Khan was not an individual, he was an association in his person and there was a great revolutionary within him.
The JI Ameer said Dr A.Q. Khan should have been the President of Pakistan but he could not rise to that office because he was not Mr. Ten Per cent.

Earlier, Syed Munawar Hasan welcomed Dr A.Q. Khan on arrival at Mansoora and the two leaders discussed the situation obtaining in the country and other matters of mutual interest. Other JI leaders who were present at the meeting included JI deputy chiefs, Ch. Muhammad Aslam Saleemi, JI Secretary General, Liaqat Baloch and Dr Farid Ahmed Piracha.
