Senior PPP leader Rana Ikram Rabbani joins PML-N

Lahore: Senior leader of PPP and former provincial minister, Rana Ikram Rabbani called on the Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif here today and while expressing his complete confidence in the leadership of Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, announced to join PML-N. MNA, Sh. Rohail Asghar, General Secretary PML-N Punjab, Raja Ashfaq Sarwar, MPAs, Mian Yawar Zaman, Nadeem Rubera and Malik Ali Abbas Khokhar were also present on the occasion.

Talking on the occasion, Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif welcomed the joining of Rana Ikram Rabbani to PML-N, and expressed the hope that his joining will help in further strengthening the party. He said that rapidly joining of political leaders of other parties to PML-N is a clear proof of its increasing popularity. He said that Punjab government of PML-N is pursuing a comprehensive programme for the progress and prosperity of the people of the province, improving their living standard and providing basic facilities to them. He said that service to the masses is pivot of the politics of PML-N and those serving the people selflessly will win the next general elections.

Rana Ikram Rabbai said that PPP did nothing for the development and prosperity of the country and the nation during the last four and a half years and pushed it in the darkness of despondencies. He said that PML-N is the only political party which has the solid socio-economic policies for steering the country out of quagmire of problems. He said that Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has initiated unprecedented development projects in Punjab. He said that he will work as a party worker under the leadership of Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and make sincere efforts for further strengthening PML-N.
