Lahore: On the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Muhammad Habib-ur-Rehman, the Central Police Office (CPO) has released the security plan to maintain peace on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha all over the province.
According to the security plan, at least 57787 policemen including 290 gazetted officers, 783 Inspectors, 2322 Sub Inspectors, 3754 Assistant Sub Inspectors (ASIs), 2295 Head Constables, 33766 Constables, and 14577 national police Razakars would be deployed for Eid security across the province besides 11073 Razakars and private security guards.
These policemen are directed to remain on high-alert around Masajids, Eid Gahs, shrines, public places, parks, government installations and important commercial centers and markets from October 26 to October 29.
According to details, at least 5631 policemen and 3743 Razakars and private security guards would be deployed in Lahore, 3187 policemen and 320 Razakars and private security guards in Sheikhupura, 8651 policemen and 1416 Razakars and private security guards in Gujranwala, 6033 policemen and 1338 Razakars and private security guards in Rawalpindi, 3586 policemen and 706 Razakars and private security guards in Sargodha Range, 12261 police and 1990 Razakars and private security guards in Faisalabad, 5882 policemen and 198 Razakars and private security guards in Multan, 2687 policemen in Sahiwal range, 4240 policemen and 350 Razakars and private security guards in DG Khan, and 5629 policemen and 1012 Razakars and private security guards would be deployed in Bahawalpur police range.
Similarly, at least 132 walkthrough gates will also be installed at sensitive points while 9159 metal detectors and 2220 CCTV cameras have also been installed to ensure foolproof security across the Punjab
