Monopoly of rich people on education is not tolerable:Hamza Shahbaz

Lahore: Member National Assembly Hamza Shahbaz Sharif has said that Zardari government has pushed the country to the depths of degradation and helplessness, however, the educated youth of our country would soon turn this darkness into light due to their knowledge, skill, God-given capacities and undefeatable passion. He said monopoly of rich people on education and progress is not tolerable. He said the Punjab government of PML-N has extended all out incentives to the poor and the middle class segments of the society and has distributed cash prizes, and free of cost laptops as well as arranged foreign tours for the position holders, without any discrimination which will prove to be the beacon of light for the nation.

He was addressing laptop distribution ceremony for position holder girl and boy students of Punjab Board of Technical Education institutors at Al-Hamra Hall No.1, here today. During the function Members Provincial Assembly Rana Muhammad Arshad, Chairman Board Muhammad Shafique besides Secretary Board, principals of technical institutions, teachers and a large number of students and their parents were present. Hamza Shahbaz Sharif distributed 81 laptops. In his speech Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said the archaic system of last 64 years is the real problem of Pakistan which has to be uprooted. He said new system can not be formulated without effective cooperation of youth of the society. He said Punjab government has set up an endowment fund worth Rs. 10 billion to end monopoly of rich on education and progress, through which thousands of poor but intelligent boy and girl students are getting education. He said before the era of Shahbaz Sharif, position holders belonging to poor segments of the society could never think of foreign tour and hefty cash prizes. He said the capabilities of our youth have recently been proved in the Punjab Youth Festival during which within four days the children broke 10 international records.

Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said that Zardari government is permitting drone attacks, by bargaining national sovereignty for just one billion dollars. He said Zardari government is begging trade with India and has made the lives of masses miserable. He said Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on the other hand work for honor and dignity and faced all the pressure from the world but carried out atomic explosions in response to India. He said motorway and restoration of judiciary are the great achievements made in the national interest, which the people will keep in view while voting in next general elections. Hamza Shahbaz Sharif announced that scholarship of students of technical education would be doubled, while policy would be formulated for awarding position holder boy and girl students of these institutions cash prizes and sending them on world tours. He said a committee, consisting of technical experts, would be formulated to solve the problem of getting admission into engineering universities by the students of these institutions.
