EU delegation of elections visits Mansoora

Lahore: A seven member delegation of the European Union currently in the country to study the atmosphere for the next elections, called on the Jamaat e Islami Secretary General, at Mansoora on Monday and exchanged views with him about the prevailing situation. The delegation is led by Lars Guntur Wigmark.

Liaqat Baloch welcomed the delegation and apprised them of the JI’s stance and proposals for holding free, fair and impartial elections. He said that the JI had already submitted its proposals to the Election Commission.

He further said for fair and free elections, it was imperative that foreign observers watched the election process.
