Chinese delegation left for home after completing their visit

Lahore: Member Chinese Communist Party, Lei Qing Chun accompanied by his entourage has left for China after completing his one day visit to Lahore. Provincial Minister for Education Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman bade farewell at the airport. Lei Qing Chun and members of his entourage visited Badshahi Mosque and Lahore Fort. The delegation was informed about the history and background of Badshahi Mosque and the Royal Fort. The guests praised the architectural work of both the historical buildings. Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, speaking on this occasion, said that the Sino-Pak friendship is bound with the bonds of mutual trust and respect and relations between the two countries will be further strengthened due to high level and public contact. He said that Punjab province will enhance cooperation with China especially in education sector.

The Minister informed the delegation that Punjab government has provided record funds to education sector and a total of Rs. 195 billion are being spent on education during the current fiscal year which is 29 percent of the provincial budget. He said that a large number of girl and boy students of Punjab is acquiring professional, technical and higher education in China while local campuses of foreign universities are playing an important role in the promotion of higher education in the province. He assured that every possible facility and cooperation will be extended by Punjab province to local institutions of foreign universities including China.

Earlier, Provincial Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman welcomed Member Chinese Communist Party Lei Qing Chun and his delegation in the morning at Lahore Airport.
