Government is pursuing its reconciliation policy:Qamar Zaman Kaira

Kharian : Minister for Information and Broadcasting,
 on Saturday said that government was pursuing its reconciliation policy to strengthen the democratic institutions of the country and making improvements in common man’s life.
Addressing at the oath-taking ceremony of the Kharian press Club, Kaira said that Pakistan Peoples Party has formed the coalition government to resolve people’s problems.He said that PPP is a party of labourers and workers and has always devised policies to protect their rights. He said the government has ncreased 125 percent salaries of the employees during last four years which is a record.
Kaira said the government inherited complex problems, however the government has been working with dedication to overcome these problems. He said that the government restored its writ in Swat. He said that the security situation also improved in Balochistan and FATA. “We have broken the backbone of terrorists.” He strongly condemned attack on Malala Yousufzai and said that she was the daughter of nation who raised her voice against illiteracy and extremism.
Kaira urged the nation to stand unitedly to wipe out extremism from the country.”It is the responsibility of the nation to stand unitedly against terrorism as the government and national institutions alone could not change this mind set”, he said.He said that Pakistan was considered as a terrorist state during the last regime. However, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) led government restored the confidence of the international community by playing the role of a front-line state in the war against terror, he added.
“We are the victims of terrorism and the world community now recognizes the fact and our sacrifices in the fight against terrorism,” he added. Kaira said that the leaders and workers of the PPP had
rendered sacrifices in the war against terrorism.
