PPP,Q League will jointly contest election

Lahore: A Peoples Party delegation headed by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khurshid Shah held a meeting with Pakistan Muslim League President Senator Ch Shujat Hussain, senior central leader and Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi and other leaders here today.
During negotiations, Pakistan Muslim League’s Moonis Elahi, Senator Kamil Ali Agha, Muhammad Basharat Raja, Ch Zaheeruddin Khan, Tariq Bashir Cheema, Amir Talal Gopang and Nasir Mahmud Gill and Peoples Party leaders Imtiaz Safdar Warraich, Rana Farooq, Haider Zaman and Amir Dogar were also present.

Talking to media after the meeting, Kamil Ali Agha and Imtiaz Safdar Warraich said that the joint candidates Muslim League and Peoples Party will expose the fake survey in the bye-election. They maintained that alliance of the two parties based on mutual respect and love, sincerity and good intentions will continue, today talks were held for evolving joint strategy for the bye-election whereas the announcement of the unanimous candidates will be made by the leadership of both the ally parties.

Kamil Ali Agha said that today’s negotiations were held under the strategy which was finalized at the time of alliance between the two parties and this process will continue forever “whether these are bye-election or general elections, we would contest all elections jointly, Insha-Allah”.

Imtiaz Safdar Warraich said like the bye-elections, in the general elections also both the parties will take decisions together, there is complete unanimity of views between us, consultations have been held and our joint candidates will file nomination papers on October 8.
