Lahore: Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan has said that the entire nation is protesting against the blasphemy of Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the protest is being registered at every forum of the world. He said that the entire nation is united for love of Holy Prophet but no one would be allowed to ransack the property in the name of religion.
He was addressing a function held in connection with Youth Festival at Government Degree College for Girls Gulshan-e-Ravi, here today. He distributed uniform and books free of cost among female students taking part and achieving success in Youth Festival. Wife of Deputy Speaker Begum Farhat Rana Mashhood was also present on the occasion. He also announced giving educational scholarships to 50 female students of the college. Begum Farhat Rana Mashhood announced to bear all educational expenses of ten deserving students of third year till completion of their study.
Rana Mashhood said that Punjab Youth Festival has enhanced the image of Pakistan throughout the world in terrorism, unemployment, poverty and worst loadshedding. He said that number of players of other countries of the world, are trying to break records of our players but he believed that the record would not be broken for a long time. He disclosed that we have become part of Guineas Book which is our partner and all games would be shown throughout the world. Renowned singers Waris Beg, Humaira Arshad and her husband Ahmed Butt also attended the function. They also distributed prizes among the female students and appreciated the steps taken by Punjab government, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Rana Mashhood regarding Youth Festival.
