190 building owners have been accused of spreading dengue larva:Mian Marghob

Lahore: Chairman Town Emergency Response Committee and Member National Assembly, Mian Marghoob Ahmed has said that as many as 190 cases, under anti-dengue regulation, have been registered against the owners of various commercial institutions and under-construction buildings where dengue larva has been detected and for not taking necessary precautionary measures for eradication of dengue virus.

He informed this while presiding over a special anti-dengue meeting held at Samanabad Town, in which Administrator Samanabad Town Nadir Chattha, TMO Imtiaz Awan and other officers were also present. Mian Marghoob Ahmed said that 18 special teams have been constituted, under the leadership of Samanabad town officers and officials for detection and eradication of dengue larva. He said these special teams have conducted survey to eliminate dengue larva after making detailed checking of various factories, warehouses and under-constructions buildings, located in different union councils of the town. He further said that as many as 71 persons have been arrested for not taking precautionary measures, while 52 places have been sealed.

Mian Marghoob Ahmed said that dengue is not an individual problem but a collective and a national issue and all citizens have to discharge their responsibilities to solve it. He said the owners of commercial institutions should look at the cleanliness in their institutions in detaid and by ensuring sanitation at potential dengue places, help the government in its war against this menace.
