Ideology of Quaid-e-Azam is still a beacon of light for us:Nawaz Sharif

Lahore: President Pakistan Muslim League-N, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that the thinking and ideology of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah are still a beacon of light for us, in order to combat serious internal and external problems, which Pakistan is confronting today.

In a statement on the occasion of death anniversary of founder of Pakistan, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that, at internal level, we are facing various problems but regrettably, instead of forging national unity and solidarity, various regional, ethnic and linguistic prejudices are being promoted, while this deplorable game is being played by the federal government due to its short-term political and party interests. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that contravening the decisions of the courts and ridiculing the judges has become a matter of routine. “It has become impossible for a common man to earn two meals a day, while back-breaking inflation and unemployment has made life extremely difficult”.

Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that national economy is in death throes, while our national sovereignty is being trampled upon on daily basis. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that people want general elections as soon as possible, so that they can get rid of incompetent and dishonest rulers through the power of their vote. However, plans are being hatched to postpone general elections, through various tactics. He said that, in order to come out of all these problems, we would have to adhere to the thinking, ideology and character of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. PML-N President further said that, according to the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, there is complete protection of fundamental rights of all non-Muslim minorities in Pakistan’s Islamic, democratic and welfare society, where rights of minorities would be equal to all other Pakistani brethren, and minorities would be completely free to live their life, in accordance with their own believes and creed. “Pakistani minorities would have complete independence to visit their worship places, while protection of their life, property and honour would be equal to that of all Muslims, enabling them to play their vigorous role in national progress and prosperity.

Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that we must rejuvenate our covenant on the occasion of death anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to further accelerate our efforts to transform Pakistan into a prosperous, self-respecting and sovereign country, in accordance with the dreams of Muslim League and crores of Muslims of sub-continent, which they envisioned under the dynamic leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
