Mian Marghob directs to register case against waste packing factories owners

Lahore: Chairman Town Emergency Response Committee and Member National Assembly, Mian Marghoob Ahmed has directed registration of cases under Dengue Control Act, against the owners of waste packing and plastic manufacturing factories and motor workshops as dengue larva was detected there.

He issued these directions, while presiding over a meeting at Union Councils 84, 87 and 90 at Samanabad Town in regard to Anti-Dengue Day here today. Mian Marghoob Ahmed ordered sealing of plastic manufacturing factories, where a large number of dengue larva was identified, and the factory was closed after drainage of water and using anti-larva drugs. He also got arrested a manager of the factory, during his surprise visit to a waster packing factory, after detection of dengue larva in old tyres, and other waste material, besides ordering sealing of the factory. A case has also been registered against these factories in police station Shera Kot and Millat Park, under Dengue Control Act, whereas a workshop, located in union council-87, also been sealed for identification of dengue larva inside old tyres, lying at the roof of the workshop.

Mian Marghoob Ahmed also ordered legal action to be taken against the bus owners at Truck Adda and Tallat Park adjacent to Babu Sabu Interchange, where dengue larva was found inside standing buses, with broken windows. Mian Marghoob Ahmed also visited union council-90 area of Shaheen Abad and directed WASA authorities to ensure drainage of dirty water within one day. Earlier, while presiding over a meeting at Gulshan-e-Ravi WASA office, he directed Muslim League workers to step into the field, and instead of sitting in houses, assist the governed in elimination of dengue larva.
