Lahore: Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Health, Khawaja Salman Rafique met Station Commander Brig. Nazif. Commissioner Lahore Division Jawad Rafiq and Cantonment officers were also present on the occasion. Matters regarding preventive measures against dengue in cantonment areas of the city were discussed in the meeting so that the Punjab government policy of timely action and promotion of public awareness could also be adopted in this area to save the people from dengue.
Meanwhile, Khawaja Salman Rafiq also visited Mayo Hospital and inquired after the dengue patients. He also reviewed treatment facilities being provided to the dengue patients. Talking to the patients on the occasion, he said that like the previous year, Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif is also monitoring dengue situation on daily basis and due to his instructions, the number of dengue patients has minimized. He directed hospital administration to spare no effort in the treatment of dengue patients. Medical Superintendent Mayo Hospital Dr. Zahid Pervaiz was also present on the occasion.
