Secretary Health paid a visit to DHQ Hospital Sheikhupura

Lahore: Secretary Health Punjab Arif Nadeem paid a visit today to DHQ Hospital Sheikhupura in connection with anti-dengue campaign, and reviewed arrangements made for the dengue patients, along with inspecting the High Dependency Units (HBUs). Secretary Health reviewed sanitary conditions of the hospitals and expressed his satisfaction over steps taken to eliminate dengue breeding sites.

Meanwhile, Special Secretary Health Punjab, Dawood Muhammad Bareach also visited DHQ hospital Kasur to oversee the sanitation campaign against the dengue virus and arrangements made for dengue patients. Furthermore, Additional Secretaries, Health Administration, Establishment and Technical also visited Mayo Hospital, Services Hospital, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Dental Hospital, PIC, Mental Hospital and Lahore General Hospital to review arrangements. Similarly, all Deputy Secretaries of Health Department also performed monitoring duty of other hospitals of Lahore. Seminars and walks, in connection with anti-dengue day, were also arranged by all medical colleges, hospitals and King Edward Medical University. In seminars held in KEMU, the Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Asad Aslam Khan, MS Zahid Pervaiz and other medical experts stressed the need for adopting safety measures regarding dengue virus. Furthermore, an awareness walk, under the leadership of Principal Fakhar Imam and MS Dr. Ijaz Sheikh, was also held at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, while the participants of the walk distributed awareness pamphlets among the citizens at Shahrah-e-Fatima Jinnah. Similar seminars and walks were also held at Services Hospital, Lahore General Hospital, Jinnah Hospital and Government Mian Munshi Hospital in which strong determination was expressed that anti-dengue campaign would continue till its complete eradication.
