We are struggling for South Punjab province on administrative basis: Ch Parvez Elahi

Pakistan Muslim League senior central leader and Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi has said that we are struggling for the creation of South Punjab province on administrative basis.
He said this while talking to National Assembly Deputy Speaker Faisal Karim Kundi who called on him at his residence here today. The two leaders exchanged views regarding prevailing political situation in the country and next general elections.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that in order to remove backwardness and sense of deprivation of the people of South Punjab we had provided record funds during our tenure and powers were devolved down to the lowest level. He said that ours is the first national party which had approved the resolution for the South Punjab province and then on May 5, 2010 a grand rally under his leadership was brought out in Multan.
Continuing, the Deputy Prime Minister said that with the creation of the new province, problems of the people of South Punjab would be resolved immediately and effectively.

He said along with the South Punjab province, we are also in favour of making Hazara province and in this regard also Pakistan Muslim League is continuing to make efforts. He said our party is with the people, has always raised voice in favour and support of deprived and oppressed segments of the society and we would continue making efforts for the rights of the people.

National Assembly Deputy Speaker Faisal Karim Kundi while appreciating Ch Parvez Elahi’s efforts for the people of South Punjab said that the Peoples Party and the Pakistan Muslim League would not rest till the people of South Punjab get their rights.
He said that N-League MNAs from South Punjab do not agree with the policies of the N-League but they are helpless before Nawaz Sharif whose policy is based on vested interests.
