Training session for teachers of special children’s in town

Lahore: Provincial Special Education Department with the cooperation of Punjab Resource Management Programme has arranged training workshops and seminars in Government In-Service Training College for teacher of disable children. Parliamentary Secretary Health Dr. Saeed Elahi, Divisional Officers of Special Education, Principals and a large number of teachers attended in-service training programme.

Secretary Special Education, Abdullah Sumbal in his welcome address, informed about the need and importance of checking dengue virus. He said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab, all the preparations regarding anti-dengue campaign have been completed. He said that people have come from abroad after acquiring training. He further said that 42 teachers and DOs have been given training here so that they could apprise the people of their areas about protection from dengue virus and precautionary measures in this regard. Principal of the college, Mrs. Afisa Iftikhar informed the participants of the course that after this training they will be master trainers and will give awareness and training in their institutions and areas. Dr. Saeed Elahi highlighted the methods of checking dengue virus and precautionary measures against dengue.

Especially trained experts from Sri Lanka and Malaysia Dr. Waseem Akram, Dr. Asif Mehmood and Dr. Nadeem Zaka informed about diagnoses of dengue virus, symptoms, cure and protection methods. On the conclusion of workshop, Dr. Saeed Elahi distributed certificates among the participants of the course.
