Hamza leads the dengue awareness walk

Lahore: Member National Assembly, Hamza Shahbaz Sharif led a dengue awareness walk today at Qila Gujar Singh and distributed kits in houses and shops for creating awareness about dengue. MPA Khawaja Salman Rafique was also present on the occasion. Girl and boy students, citizens, notables of the area and workers of PML-N participated in a large number in the walk. Representatives of City District Government, officials of government departments including solid waste management company and environment department were also present on the occasion.

Hamza Shahbaz Sharif advised the participants of the walk to adopt all possible preventive measures, cleanliness and principles of hygiene and said that war against dengue cannot be won without active participation of the people. He said that Punjab government is implementing a comprehensive programme for adopting and creating awareness about dengue and experiences and observations of the previous year have been kept in view. He said that the role of public representatives in anti-dengue campaign is of vital importance. Hamza Shahbaz said that members assembly should conduct survey of every house and street in their constituencies and call the teams deployed for eradication of dengue after pinpointing the sites of dengue mosquito breeding.

Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said that the role of students and house wives is of paramount importance in the anti-dengue campaign. He said that both of them have a key role in adopting precautionary measures against dengue. Hamza Shahbaz Sharif described the participation of people from every walk of life including students in the dengue awareness walk as a good omen for curbing dengue virus.
