PML-N is against division of provinces on linguistic basis: Hamza Shahbaz

Lahore: Member National Assembly, Hamza Shahbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan Muslim League-N is against division of provinces on linguistic basis, but supports division on administrative grounds. He said that federal government should take steps on emergent basis for the elimination of loadshedding, inflation, unemployment and corruption as the people are running out of patience.

He expressed these views while talking to media representatives during anti-dengue campaign at Mahmood Booti today. Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said that he foresees general elections in a short period of time. Answering a question, Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said that PML-N has constitutional and democratic right to express disagreement over the names included in the Commission formed for the division of provinces, while limiting the mandate of the commission to the province of Punjab only, is an act of injustice against Punjab. He said that the commission should have mandate for division of other provinces as well, not only Punjab, however, division of any province on linguistic basis cannot be supported at all. Answering another question, Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said that he has no connection with the poultry business, which is done by his younger brother.

He asserted if anyone proves he is running poultry business, he would quit politics. Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said that he has no connection at all with process of fixing poultry rates, because a person who has a share of only 1.001 percent in a business can hardly play any role in determination or fixation of poultry prices.
