Dengue is controlled this year:Malik Riaz

Lahore: Member Provincial Assembly and Chairman Dengue Response Committee Ravi Town, Malik Riaz has said that situation regarding dengue disease is satisfactory during the current year as compared to the previous year. On the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab, work regarding anti-dengue is actively continuing throughout the Ravi Town, he added.

He stated this while presiding over a meeting held at Ravi Town office, here today. Member Provincial Assembly Asad Ashraf, Rana Iqbal, Kiran Dar, Sakena Shaheen and TMO Malik Abrar Hussain were also present on the occasion. The meeting was informed that elected Members National and Provincial Assembly of Ravi Town will visit the hospitals on the occasion of anti-dengue day on September 02 besides banners and flexes will be displayed for public awareness. Pamphlets carrying precautionary measures against dengue and symptoms of disease will also be distributed among the people.

Malik Riaz informed that sanitation staff has been bound for cleanliness and disposing of solid waste at every level. He said that implementation of a comprehensive plan evolved regarding eradication of dengue by all the departments in Ravi Town will be ensured. He said that role of girl and boy students in dengue eradication campaign is of paramount importance and they should create awareness among the people to clean their homes, streets, mohallas and surroundings.
