Ather Ali Khan visits Directorate of Public Relations, Rawalpindi

Lahore: Director General Public Relations, Govt. of the Punjab Lahore Athar Ali Khan has visited the offices of Rawalpindi Arts Council and Directorate of Public Relations, Rawalpindi on Sunday to sensitize officers and officials of these offices for effectively implementing awareness campaign against dengue being launched under the instructions of the government.

The DGPR emphasized the officers and officials of Rawalpindi Arts Council and Directorate of Public Relations Rawalpindi to play active role for the projection and dissemination of information about dengue to citizens and the precautionary measures to be taken against dengue be projected effectively. He directed Resident Director RAC to chalk out a weekly programme about awareness campaign and send the same to his head office and a programme of arranging short plays/dramas and projection against dengue through projectors and multimedia equipments be done before the commencement of various seminars and programmes to be held by governmental and non-governmental organizations in the auditorium of RAC. He also asked the Resident Director to establish a special counter out side the auditorium for distribution of pamphlets and other published material for the awareness of the people when ever any seminar and programme is held there and this material would be provided in a couple of days to RAC by their head office.

The Director General Public Relations Punjab Athar Ali Khan also directed the officers of Directorate of Public Relations Rawalpindi to ensure effective projection of anti-dengue campaign and maintain close liaison with Commissioner, DCO and other concerned departments for the purpose. The DGPR also had a round of RAC and DPR office Rawalpindi and inspected the cleanliness condition there and directed to ensure anti-dengue spray in and out side of buildings of respective departments besides maintaining cleanliness. He expressed his over all satisfaction on the cleanliness condition in both offices.
