Police arrests SP Nasir in Murder case before CM arrival

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that maintenance of law and order as well as protection of life, property and honour of citizens is the prime responsibility of police and it should utilize all its energies and resources for this purpose so that people could live peacefully. He said that police should eliminate crimes and bring such elements to justice as play with the lives of innocent people.

This was stated by him after condoling with the families of Dilawar Hussain and two other youth who were killed on Eid in village Kidher Gharbi in Tehsil Phalia, today.

Sympathizing with the families of the deceased, the Chief Minister said that the ruthless murderers had deprived the society of a brilliant and talented student. He directed police officers, who were present on the occasion, to nab the criminals as no laxity would be tolerated in this regard. He assured the heirs of the deceased persons that the demands of justice would be fulfilled and the murderers would not be able to escape maximum punishment.

It may be mentioned that the deceased Dilawar Hussain had topped in law examination in Sargodha University and also received a laptop from the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister offered Fateha for the departed souls and also gave three cheques of five lakh rupees each as financial assistance. Senator Pervaiz Rashid, IG Punjab Haji Habib ur Rehman and officers of district administration and police were also present on the occasion.
