PEF gives Eid gifts to poor students

Lahore: The Officers of the Communication Department of Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) distributed Eid Gifts among girl students and their mothers of a school partnered with the PEF under its New School Program (NSP) in Ghang Sharif Village near Kahna on Ferozepur Road.

On the occasion, besides PEF-Deputy Director (NSP) Hassan javed and his team, teachers and notables of the area were also present who thanked the PEF for this act. Addressing the ceremony, PEF’s Deputy Director-Communication Ms. Aruj Salman maintained that PEF is earnestly working to encourage the impecunious strata to send their children to PEF partner schools for enjoying gratis education. She said that Eid gifts are a small gesture to give the message of love and affection to the students that PEF is equally sharing the joys and happiness of its students’ community and their families.

On the occasion, PEF’s Deputy Director (NSP) Hassan Javed told that more than 55 thousand students are getting free education under the NSP program in 36 Districts through 419 partner schools. He further told that PEF is spending an amount of Rs. 1.5 crore per month on the fee of NSP Students. Free books are also provided under this program, he added.
Mothers of the girl students also spoke on the occasion and thanked the PEF for sharing their Eid joys.
