CIA Police arrested Waqas alias Viki gang

Lahore: Three members of Waqas alias Viki gang alongwith their ringleader has been arrested by CIA Police Iqbal Town Lahore.
The accused were involved in robbery, cash and bonds snatching and street crimes incidents and a recovery of Rs. 20 lakh cash, four cell phones as well as illegal weapons has been affected from them.

DIG Investigation Chuaudhary Shafiq Ahmed directed SSP Investigation Babar Bakht Qureshi, to initiate steps for curbing the trend of robbery, cash snatching and street crimes besides effecting recovery of the stolen goods. SP CIA Muhammad Umar Virk formed a team under the supervision of DSP CIA Iqbal Town Anwar Saeed Kingra and other officials which worked day & night and were successful in busting the three membered Waqas alias Viki gang.

The arrested accused include Waqas alias Viki Butt, Fiaz Masih and Muhammad Naveed from whom seven cases of PS Islampura, Hanjerwall, Shadman, Icchra, Old Anarkali and Gowalmandi have been traced.
The police raiding party comprised SI Maqsood Hayat, ASIs Abdul Baseer and Rehmat Ali, HC Munir Ahmed, Constables Imtiaz Ahmed, Muhammad Abbas, Abdul Razzaq, Abdul Rauf, Zulifqar Ali, Saeed Umar, Zulifqar Ali and Rasheed Ahmed.

DIG Investigation Chaudhary Shafiq Ahmed has announced cash award and commendation certificates for the police party.
