Low flood level seen in River Chinab:DG PDMA Mujahid Sherdil

Lahore:Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority, Mujahid Sher Dil has said that the process of monitoring the ebb & flow of water is continuing regularly and its data is being provided to control room. He said that River Chenab is flowing as per routine at Marala and Khanki while the low-flood level starts with one lakh cusec water at both the places. He said that a breach was occurred in the rainy nullah at Dhok Sayedan, Rawalpindi which has been filled by the district administration within one hour through heavy machinery. He informed that on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, district administrations of the province are regularly supervising the spurs and bunds of the rivers. He said that PDMA has stored essential items, medicines, livestock medicines in the fabricated storage for meeting out any situation arising out of possible flood while sites for relief camps have also been identified before time.
