Consumers would have to face tough time in forthcoming winter

Lahore:Minister for Petroleum said that consumers would have to face tough time in forthcoming winter. However, situation would go better approximately within two to three years, said Dr Asim. So far as raise in petroleum price is concerned, it would be decided in accordance with the international market, he added.

While talking to the media in the head office of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines in Lahore, he said that CNG closure is going to be implemented consecutively.

He said that LNG and LPG’s import is going to be increased in order to overcome crisis of gas, adding that Pak-Iran gas pipelines projects are underway on priority basis.

While replying a question pertaining to price of petroleum products, the minister said that ups and downs in petroleum price would be decided in accordance with international market. However the summary regarding up and down in petroleum price on weekly basis would be presented in the session of the ECC on Tuesday.

He made it clear that stern action would be taken against who were committing gas theft regardless of having an affiliation with any political party.
