Essential items could be provided at cheaper rates if officers performed their duties with dedication:DCO Lahore

DCO Lahore, Noor ul Ameen Mengal has said that tremendous improvement has occurred to the Sasta Ramazan Bazaar through efforts of the CDGL Officers and the prices of edible items have come down to the required level. He was paying a surprise visit to Raiwind Ramazan Bazar, Raiwind, today. He further said that essential items could be provided at cheaper rates to the people throughout the holy month of Ramazan if officers and officials performed their duties with commitment and dedication. He said that he himself was paying surprise visits to Ramazan Bazars on daily basis due to which prices of chicken had been reduced to Rs.90 per kg similarly the prices of tomato had been lowered from Rs.55 to Rs.30 per kg, peas from Rs.145 to Rs.100 and plums from Rs.190 to Rs.100. He further said that the system monitoring and checking system was further being tightened while the masses would see marked improvement in the days to come.
