Rescue 1122 is being expanded to tehsil level:Dr Rizwan Naseer

Lahore: The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) is being expanded to tehsil level on special directions of the Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif after establishment of the Service in all 36 districts of Punjab.
In this regard, training of newly recruited 566 rescuers has started at Emergency Services Academy, Ferozepur Road, Lahore. Tehsils included in first phase of expansion are Ahmad Pur East, Chichawatni, Gujar Khan, Jaranwala, Kabeerwala, Khanpur, Liaquatpur, Kharian, Mian Channu, Mureed Kay, Pattoki and Sadiqabad.
Addressing the newly recruited rescuers, The Director General Dr. Rizwan Naseer said that with quality training and effective monitoring Rescue 1122 Service has been able to maintain standards of its services all over the Punjab. He urged the new rescuers to train hard to make their work easy in the field. He also asked them to maintain standards of the Service in tehsils.
He said that emergency care is the fundamental human right and Rescue Service is working to ensure provision of this basic right. Therefore, other provinces like KPK, AJK & Gilgit Baltistan have also been provided with technical assistance in replication of this Service so that all citizens of Pakistan can have sense of safety in case of any emergency or disaster.
