Suo Motu Case hearing upsets IGP

Islamabad:Chief Justice of Pakistan has wet the pent of Inspector General of Police punjab by saying, police should produce the criminals in the court otherwise Punjab IG will be suspended.
The CJP passed these remarks during the hearing of woman murder case who was given capital punishment on the orders of punchayet.The bench showed dissatification over the investigation report and commented that there was no word about punchayet in it. Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry remarked that the police should produce the culprits otherwise IG Punjab will be suspended, adding that orders in this case will be given today.

Advocate general Punjab told the bench that Maryam Bibi mowed the grass from some area on which punchayet was called to settle the dispute. He further told that three accused of stonning Maryam Bibi to death were also arrested.

Mind it ,A three-member bench headed by chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the suo motu case subjecting to the killing of a woman on the directives of punchayet (local council) in Khanewal.
