Commissioner Lahore Jawad Rafiq visits Ramazan Bazaars

Commissioner Lahore Division, Jawad Rafiq Malik today paid a surprise visit to Shadman, Wahdat Colony, Nadeem Shaheed Road and Sabzazaar Ramazan Bazaars. DCO Lahore Noor-ul-Amin Mangel, Member National Assembly Bilal Yasin, Additional Commissioner Dr. Usman, TMOs Data Gunj Baksh Town, Samanabad Town and Iqbal Town also accompanied him. The Commissioner, during his visit, inspected various stalls at Ramazan bazaars. He checked the standard, quality and the prices of various edible items including vegetables, fruit, pulses and meat. He also inspected the sitting places for the consumers as well as potable water, parking areas, first aid camps, cleanliness of toilets, electricity generators and pedestal fans. He expressed his satisfaction over the whole situation at Ramazan bazaars. He directed the DCO Lahore that preference be given to provide facilities to the consumers during the whole month of Ramazan and high standard of essential items be maintained. He made it clear that such officers will not be the part of CDGL if found guilty of dereliction. The Commissioner directed the DCO Lahore, to ensure the implementation of prices at every cost fixed by CDGL and essential items be provided in abundance so that consumers might not face any difficulty in the acquisition of the same.

On this occasion, DCO Lahore told the Commissioner that with the cooperation of Lahore Traders Community and without any subsidy essential items had been provided in the Ramazan Bazars at prices less than market for which the trader’s community was highly commendable. On this occasion, Member National Assembly Bilal Yasin said that Government infused a great spirit of public service by providing subsidized and quality edible items to the masses in the Ramazan Bazars and that spirit would be maintained throughout the holy month of Ramazan.
