PEF launches computerized online payment system

Lahore:The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has launched computerized online payment system for its 4700 partner schools in 36 districts. This system will facilitate the partners by ensuring prompt provision of students’ monthly fee to them.

Chairman Punjab Education Foundation Raja Anwar stated this while addressing the inauguration ceremony of IT-Server Room at PEF head office on Wednesday.

PEF-MD, DMDs, Directors and other officials were also present on the occasion.

Raja Anwar said that PEF was effectively utilizing information and communication technology (ICT) to streamline and improve its working and maintained that ICT has greatly helped in efficiency improvement and meeting organizational goals. He said that PEF is role model in terms of meeting goals of public-friendly good governance and financial transparency in the education sector. Similarly, complete computerized record of all the partner school students in 36 districts along-with online mechanism of their daily attendance and teachers’ inventory has also been maintained and updated regularly. It helped in eliminating absenteeism and impersonation in quality assurance tests. This is also helpful in formulation of new policies and identification of education-deficient areas and illiterate communities in the province, he added.
Earlier, PEF Chairman inaugurated PEF IT-Server Room at the head office.
