Infrastructure Development can generate job opportunities:Shahbaz Sharif

Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif has said that development of infrastructure can help promote industrial, economic and commercial activities as well as generate job opportunities, he was talking to media after inspecting Raiwind Road rehabilitation project at LDA Avenue Chowk. Provincial Minister Ch. Abdul Ghafoor, Member National Assembly Muhammad Afzal Khokhar, Member Provincial Assembly Saif-ul-Malook Khokhar, DG LDA, Commissioner and DCO Lahore, MD WASA, NLC and NESPAK authorities were also present.
Shahbaz Sharif pointed out that Punjab government is paying special attention to betterment of infrastructure throughout the province and projects worth billions of rupees are being expeditiously executed in this sector. He said that culture of working in night time has been introduced for ensuring speedy completion of development projects. The Chief Minister directed that rehabilitation work of the road from LDA Avenue Chowk to Raiwind Railway crossing be further accelerated, and the project be completed within four months by working round the clock.
Punjab Chief Minister also heard complaints of citizens for over one hour today at his Tent Office, Minar-e-Pakistan. Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Member Provincial Assembly, Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan and police officers were present. Talking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that those police officers who do not provide help and succor to the masses ought to change their behavior, as it is the foremost responsibility of police to protect life, property and honour of the citizens.

Shahbaz Sharif also met senior civil officers at his tent office and told them that the federal government is trampling all norms of justice by adopting a discriminatory attitude to Punjab over the issue of loadshedding and the situation is becoming intolerable for the people of the province.
Senator Pervaiz Rashid, Chief Secretary, Nasir Mehmood Khan Khosa and secretaries of different departments were also present at the occasion.
