Lahore:Every effort will be made and all the resources will be utilized to bring discipline on national highways and provide quality assistance to the road users said newly appointed DIG N-5 Central RaiAltafHussain while taking charge of the office here at Lahore.
On the arrival of DIG N-5 Central AltafHussain in Zonal Officer Lahore, guard of honour was presented to him by smartly dressed contingent of Motorway Police. While holding a meeting with the staff of Central Zone, he said that he feels proud to be a part of a force known for its honesty, dedication to duty, soft policing, quality help to distressed road users and friendly dealing with the violators. He further said that no compromise will be made in providing timely and effective help to the distressed road users especially during the hot season and coming month of Ramazan. The DIG also laid stress on the need to install speed checking cameras at the spots which are prone to accidents due to over-speeding of the drivers. He further instructed to specially brief and educate Motorcyclists who arethe most careless among all the road users.SSP Central-I MirzaFaranBaigh, Staff Office Muhammad Anwar and other officials of NH&MP were present in the meeting.
Earlier DIG N-5 CentralAltafHussain distributed cash reward and commendation certificate among SPO/IP AkifNishatBajwa and SPO/IP Noor Ahmad who apprehended two dacoits involved in a bank dacoity after an exchange of fire and also recovered looted money. DIG AltafHussain said on this occasion that he expects similar type of professional approach from all the force in order to maintain the lofty status the department has achieved after toil of many years.
