Lahore:District Coordination Officer Lahore, Noor ul Amin Mengal has said that the collection of parchi fee from rickshaw drivers has been stopped at around 100 parking stands in the city after the announcement of Chief Minister Punjab for abolishing the parchi fee and directions have been issued to all concerned officers not to collect any parchi fee from rickshaw drivers from stands and implement the Chief Minister Punjab’s order with letter and spirit. He directed the DO Public Facility Fahad Anees to take immediate necessary measures and to make ensure neither the staff of CDGL nor anybody else to collect parchi fee from rickshaw drivers. He directed that strict legal action will be taken against such persons who will charge parchi fee from rickshaw drivers. DCO directed the DOPF to visit the various parking stands and submit his report. DCO Lahore has taken notice of the complaint about charging of parchi fee at Railway Station and ordered the DOPF to take immediate legal action against the culprits and arrest them. He said that we will implement the orders of Chief Minister Punjab and actions against will be taken against violators.
