Energy crises could be resolve if federal govt wills:Rana Mashud

Lahore: Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan disclosed that the Punjab government had embarked on a project to generate 450MW electricity.
Addressing PML-N office-bearers and workers in PP-149, Mashood said the Punjab government had launched the electricity generation project, while the federal government had no time to attend to the problems of the masses despite the fact that the nation today was faced with unprecedented loadshedding, unemployment, price hike and sense of insecurity.
“India is building dams even on canals, but we have yet not done any planning at the federal level to overcome to energy crisis despite facing power outages of up to 22 hours a day,” he regretted.
Mashood said the country had vast coal reserves, but the rulers were not interested in producing energy from this cheap source. “The history would not forgive us if we failed to hold the corrupt rulers accountable,” he stressed. MNA Mian Margoob Ahmad, PML-N Lahore Secretary General Khawaja Imran Nazir and others were also present on the occasion.
