Unjust profit taking would not be allowed:DCO Lahore

Lahore:DCO Lahore, Noor ul Amin Mengal has said that to consult all stakeholders for fixation of prices of essential items and to fix the prices with realistic approach. He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting regarding fixation of prices of essential items at Nadir hall here today which attended by MPAs Khawaja Imran Nazir. Ch. Shahbaz, ADC(G), Musharat Jabeen, all Assistant Commissioner, Administrators of the city, DO(M and I), DO Food ,traders of Akabri mandi and representatives of Kernana Merchants Association. DCO said that prices of essential items would be made rationalize and CDGL would protect the rights of traders, shopkeepers and citizens as well. He constituted a sub- committee in which equal representative has been given to traders and shopkeepers along with district administration. This sub-committee will determine the prices and submit its recommendations to committee for further decision and the meeting of committee will be held on July2. DCO, Lahore said that traders and shopkeepers should also focus Ramzan and district administration will need their cooperation during this Holy month. He said that CDGL will set up Ramzan bazaars to provide cheap and quality essential items to the citizens. Traders and shopkeepers assured DCO, Lahore their full cooperation during Ramzan. In the meeting various proposals discussed for fixation of prices.
