CM meets leaders of tomorrow

Lahore:Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that our youth are the leader of tomorrow (Kal Ke Quaid) and they are full capable to steer the country out of crisis. He said that the youth will have to play their fullest role in the development of the country. He said that our youth are the future of the nation and hold the key of prosperity and development of the country. He said the nation has high expectations of its young generation. Shahbaz Sharif said that Punjab government has given best youth policy for providing young generation the opportunity of marching forward and utilizing their abilities. He said that the worst federal government in the history of the country has made the life agonizing for the people due to its bad governance. He said that we have to bring the country and the nation from darkness to light through our collective wisdom and efforts.

He was talking to a delegation of ‘Kal Ke Qauid” (Leaders of Tomorrow), male and female students at his tent office, Minar-e-Pakistan, here today. Member National Assembly Ahsan Iqbal, Secretary Higher Education and Secretary Schools were also present on the occasion. Addressing the delegation, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that the corrupt rulers of Islamabad have put the nation into darkness for their lust and greed. He said that there is a capacity of generating energy but the corruption, loot and plundering of the rulers have created severe energy crisis. He said that shortage of electricity has caused irreparable loss to the national economy. The Chief Minister said that unjust attitude with regard to loadshedding is being meted out to Punjab. He said that thousands of laborers have become jobless due to closure of industries. Shahbaz Sharif said that people of Punjab have given an opportunity to him to serve them and he will protect their rights at all cost. The Chief Minister said that he has set up his tent office at Minar-e-Pakistan as a mark of protest against the discriminatory attitude being shown to Punjab regarding loadshedding. He said that circular debt is Rs.400 billion and if this circular debt is paid, the crisis of electricity can be overcome overnight. He said that if the nation gave a chance to serve the country, the energy crisis will be resolved within six months under the leadership of Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. He said that Rs.4.5 billion are outstanding against Punjab government, out of which Rs.3.5 billion have been paid. He said if the looted wealth of the nation and the country is returned to the national exchequer, the Punjab government will be the first to pay Rs.5 billion for paying off the circular debt. The Chief Minister announced that “Kal Ke Qauid” (leaders of tomorrow) will be made an NGO and Punjab government will fully patronize it. He directed that a plan should be evolved to make ‘Kal Ke Qauid’ an NGO.

Member National Assembly Ahsan Iqbal addressing on this occasion, said that some people make claims of bringing revolution whereas Punjab government has brought the change in the province by launching revolutionary projects. He termed ‘Kal Ke Quaid’ (leaders of tomorrow), a welcome step and proposed to make it a permanent institution. Male and female students, appreciating the merit policy of Punjab government, paid glowing tributes to Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for improvement of education sector and other welfare steps taken for the youth. They also gave suggestions for the uplift of education sector.
