PTV to make Serial” Bari Jail Say Choti Jail Tak”

Lahore:PTV Center Lahore has started shooting TV Serial “Jail” based on Raja Anwar’s famous book “Bari Jail Say Choti Jail Tak.” This will be a 13 episode serial about life in a Pakistani jail. Agha Abbasi is script writer while Faheem Shah is producer of the said serial which is being shot in Lahore and Chakwal. The main cast of the serial includes Sohail Sameer, Ali Tabish, Wahaj Khan, Sonu Ali, Hamayun Gull, Hamayun Rasheed and Rija Ali.

Raja Anwar’s book “Bari Jail Say Choti Jail Tak” is about his life in Bahawalpur jail in 1970 when he was awarded one year imprisonment by a court of law.

Raja Anwar is a famous name in student politics who played leading role against Ayub Khan by mobilizing students’ protests against the dictatorship. Currently, he is serving as Chairman Punjab Education Foundation.
