5power companies closed due to non-availability of fuel:Ahmad Mukhtar

Islamabad:Federal Minister for Water and Power said main reason of loadshedding is poor performance of NTDC.Ahmed Mukhtar declared that he and Rasool Khan Mehsood cannot hold their respective posts at the same time.

Speaking to the media here today, Ahmed Mukhtar alleged that Mehsood is using his contacts to retain his position. He challenged to leave his ministry if Mehsood continued working on his position.
While talking about the prevalent issue of loadshedding, Mukhtar termed the transportation issue as the basic commotion and not the fuel dearth.He also mentioned that Hyderabad faces 8, Lahore 9, Multan 8 and Islamabad experiences seven hours of load-shedding every day.
Ahmed Mukhtar said that KESC has been promised 710 megawatts of electricity on daily basis and efforts are underway to provide that so that the company can generate its own electricity.He said that five power companies were closed due to non-availability of fuel.
