Commissioner orders to launch mega development schemes

Lahore:Commissioner Lahore Division Jawad Rafique Malik has ordered to launch such mega development schemes in all the districts of Lahore division which could be more useful for the citizens.

He was presiding over a meeting held to review the special package of 2011-12 at Commissioner Office, here today. He told the meeting that Chief Minister Punjab is determined to launch mega development schemes in all the divisions of the province under which he directed that such development schemes which can facilitate maximum citizens should be identified and get these approved. He said that besides mega development schemes, the work on the development schemes proposed by the MNAs and MPAs should also be continued. He directed the DCOs that three mega development schemes of international standard should be announced by every district. He further said that the government will reward the officer ensuring timely completion of the development scheme. Earlier, the Commissioner was informed that hundred percent work on the development schemes has been completed in all the four districts of the division and the work on the development schemes of next fiscal year is being launched. The meeting was attended by DCOs, EDOs(Finance), DO(P), XEN, SEs, Lahore, Kasur, Nankana Sahib and Shikhuprua, Assistant Director Special Planning and officers of other departments.
