Energy crisis should be resolved on top priority:CH Shujaat
Peoples Party’s nominated Prime Minister Raja Parvez Ashraf said if the intentions are good then all problems can be resolved. He said that Ch Shujat Hussain’s formula was the best solution for resolving the energy crisis and he would get it implemented.
He said electricity load shedding is a major crisis and challenge. He said that steps would be taken for immediate solution of this and other problems with sincerity of purpose in consultation and guidance of the Pakistan Muslim League and through joint efforts.
Pakistan Muslim League Parliamentary Party meeting was held here today at the residence of Ch Shujat Hussain in which nominated Prime Minister Raja Parvez Ashraf participated along with PPP leaders Khushid Shah, Nazar Muhammad Gondal, Qamaruzzaman Kaira, Faisal Karim Kundi and others and thanked the PML leadership for cooperation.
Addressing the meeting, Ch Shujat Hussain said that we had told President Asif Ali Zardari that we would support his candidate, whosoever it may be. He said that Peoples Party and Muslim League will have to make joint efforts for solving the national problems.
Ch Parvez Elahi while addressing the meeting said that we are cooperating with the People Party in the national and country’s interest. He said President Asif Ali Zardari has accepted this alliance from his heart and we would also jointly evolve strategy for future as well.
Continuing, he said that electricity load shedding is a grave problem which should be solved on priority basis. He said that formula presented by Ch Shujat Hussain for resolving load shedding crisis was formulated after consultations in the light of views of the experts but N League and some other elements had sabotaged it.
Speaking on the occasion, Raja Parvez Ashraf said that making an alliance is very easy but its continuation is very difficult thing. He said that he would give credit to the Chaudhry Brothers for continuation of this alliance quite successfully adding that he has a relationship of respect with them. He said that future strategy would be evolved in consultation with Muslim League members.
On the suggestion of PML member Shah Jehan, he assured that practical steps would also be taken for Hazara province. He also assured all Muslim League members that due importance would be given to their proposals and suggestions.
The meeting was also addressed by PML Balochistan President Jam Muhammad Yousuf, Muslim League Sindh President Ghaus Bux Maher, Shaikh Waqas Akram, Anwar Ali Cheema, Shehnaz Shaikh, Sardar Shah Jehan Yousuf, Ahmedan Bugti and other parliamentarians.
